We’re thrilled to welcome Cantor Yudi Cohen, the internationally acclaimed tenor and entertainer who served for 16 years as Chief Cantor of Sydenham Shul, Johannesburg’s premier synagogue.

Born in London and trained in both the Chabad yeshiva system and classical opera, Yudi has sung leading roles in La Traviata, Carmen, and La Bohème, and headlined concerts and gala events around the world. His performances blend cantorial, operatic, Jewish, and contemporary music, woven together with storytelling, humor, and a whole lot of heart.

Now based right here in Atlanta, Yudi brings his soulful voice and dynamic stage presence to an evening of song, inspiration, and Jewish pride you won’t want to miss.

Cantor Yudi Cohen is an internationally acclaimed, Tenor, and entertainer with a singing career

he received semicha before pursuing formal training in opera. Yudi served for 16 years as Chief
Cantor at Sydenham Shul, Johannesburg’s premier synagogue, and has headlined concerts,
Chuppot, Shabbatons, and Gala Events worldwide. He has performed on major stages and in
synagogues across the globe, including leading roles in operas such as La Traviata, Carmen, and
La Bohème. Known for his soulful voice and dynamic stage presence, Yudi blends cantorial,
operatic, Jewish, and contemporary music styles infused with storytelling and humor to create
powerful performances with meaningful messages. Now based in Atlanta, he continues to tour
the USA and internationally, sharing a message of Jewish pride and inspiration.
